The German Energy Transition – live Twitter Chat with MP Hermann Ott

On May 2, 2013 between 10-11am EDT the Heinrich Boell Foundation North America, in collaboration with the Energy Transition blog, will be hosting a live Twitter chat with Dr. Hermann Ott, Member of Parliament for the German Green Party. This is your opportunity to ask any questions you may have about Germany’s ‘Energiewende’ – the ambitious strategy to rapidly increase renewable energy while entirely phasing out nuclear power. We are looking forward to a lively debate on questions such as: How will Germany phase out nuclear power while keeping greenhouse gas emissions down? Who will pay for the transition? What changes need to be made to the electricity grid for it to work?
